ThisStandarddefinesrequirementsfortheestablishmentofthemechanicaland physicalpropertiesofthematerialstobeusedforspaceapplications,andthe verificationoftheserequirements. Verification includes destructive and nondestructive test methods. Quality assurance requirements for materials (e.g. procurement and control) are coveredbyECSSQST70.
